Borger High School Alumni Spotlight - Alexis Aguilar i

Alexis Aguilar is a 2014 Borger High School graduate. While in high school Alexis played football and played soccer all four years. In soccer, he was named district Newcomer of the Year his ninth-grade year and received district honors his junior and senior years. Academically, Alexis excelled in high school. He graduated with 18 hours of college credit and took several AP classes. He was active in NHS and participated in the BHS Day of Caring and helped his class begin the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) Walk for a Cure. This fundraiser has become a traditional activity for BHS seniors. After graduation, Alexis went on to finish his Associate Degree at Frank Phillips College. He continued to excel academically at FPC and upon graduation; he received a Presidential Transfer Scholarship from Texas Tech University. At Texas Tech University, Alexis continued playing soccer as a member of the men’s soccer club during his undergraduate career as a Red Raider. He graduated from TTU in 2018 from the Rawls College of Business. As an undergrad, he made the Dean’s List in 2016 and 2017. He continued his education at Texas Tech and graduated with his Master’s in Science in Accountancy in December 2019.

Currently, Alexis is working at Whitley Penn LLP in Fort Worth as an Audit Associate while studying to obtain his CPA.
