General Information

Borger Independent School District serves 2,500 students on six campuses and encompasses 52 square miles of Hutchinson County in the Panhandle of Texas. The District is fully accredited by the Texas Education Agency and the Southern Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.

The District strives to provide "Big School" opportunities in a "Small School" atmosphere. The employees of BISD are fiercely dedicated to providing a safe and conducive learning environment. Serving a community population of approximately 16,000, Borger ISD provides a variety of educational opportunities in an outstanding instructional program for pre-kindergarten through the twelfth grade.

The teachers and administrators of Borger Independent School District are highly trained and qualified professionals who strive to meet the individual needs of each student. All teachers and administrators in the District participate in staff development activities which focus on various teaching trends and innovative instructional techniques.
